Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. Toucan is a private two-person service. Only pair with someone you know and intend to share a game with.
Your account and pairing
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to secure your account, devices, sign-in credentials, pairing code, and recovery code and for providing accurate account information. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or device has been compromised. Either partner may unpair at any time. Unpairing disconnects both accounts and seals the shared game outside the active service for up to 30 days so each former partner can download the data available to them. If either account is deleted first, that archive is erased sooner. Limited backups, safety records, security records, or legally required records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
Consent and acceptable use
Toucan can include intimate or explicit prompts and user content. An in-app dare, answer, approval, bid, or message is not consent to any real-world activity. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, ongoing, and can be withdrawn at any time.
You may not use Toucan to:
- involve anyone under 18, depict or sexualize a minor, or upload content that may involve a minor;
- threaten, pressure, stalk, harass, exploit, deceive, or facilitate non-consensual activity;
- share intimate content without every depicted person’s permission;
- break the law, violate another person’s rights, or create a risk of physical harm;
- access another person’s account or encrypted content without permission, interfere with Toucan, probe its security, or distribute malicious code; or
- use Toucan commercially, scrape it, or copy its catalog or software except as law permits.
If a dare feels unsafe, illegal, unwanted, or unclear, do not do it. Toucan does not supervise your relationship or real-world activity.
Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
Report threats, harassment, child sexual abuse material, nonconsensual intimate content, exploitation, trafficking, prostitution facilitation, fraud, spam, or other illegal or abusive conduct at hello@toucan.to. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Private content is end-to-end encrypted, so Toucan cannot proactively inspect it. A report includes only the details or content the reporter chooses to share. We review safety reports as promptly as reasonably possible and may investigate, preserve evidence when legally required, restrict content or accounts, or suspend or terminate users. To immediately end your pairing and contact in Toucan, use Unpair in Settings. Reconnecting requires a new pairing both people choose.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you create. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You give Toucan a limited license to host, transmit, process, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. Your partner can view content shared with them and may be able to save or capture it outside Toucan.
Private content and encryption
Supported private content is end-to-end encrypted, but routing and service metadata is not. You are responsible for approving devices you recognize and protecting recovery codes. Toucan may not be able to recover encrypted content if approved-device access and recovery material are lost.
Mangos, rewards, and partner commitments
Mangos, balances, bids, rewards, and other game items have no cash or real-world value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred outside the shared game, wagered for money, or redeemed for money, property, real-world services, or anything else of real-world value. If a partner-created reward describes a real-world act or service, spending mangos only records that reward as claimed in the shared game. It is not payment for the act or service. Partner-created rewards are voluntary private arrangements between partners. Toucan does not require, guarantee, or enforce fulfillment and is not responsible if a partner declines or cannot fulfill one. Personal mango balances remain when users unpair, while pair-scoped game state and rewards may be reset or removed. Account deletion or reasonable enforcement may remove account balances and game items.
Subscriptions and purchases
Premium is an auto-renewing monthly subscription unless the purchase screen says otherwise. The price and billing period shown before purchase control. On Apple devices, Apple charges your App Store account and manages renewal, cancellation, and refunds under its rules. You can cancel in your Apple subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Deleting Toucan does not cancel an Apple subscription. Use Restore purchases to restore an eligible App Store purchase.
Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe and can be managed from Toucan Settings. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not ordinarily refund time already paid for, except where required by law or the payment provider’s rules. Premium features may change over time, but changes do not remove rights you have under applicable law.
Apple terms
The license to Toucan’s iOS and iPadOS app is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms govern your Toucan account and use of the service. Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting Toucan. Apple’s Standard EULA controls only to the extent of a conflict concerning the license to the Apple app.
Toucan software
Toucan and its software, design, catalog, branding, and other service materials are owned by Toucan or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Toucan’s intellectual property.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Toucan or delete your account at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, or address a material or repeated violation of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will continue.
Service changes and availability
We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features. Toucan may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, network failures, provider outages, or events outside our control. We do not promise that every feature or item of content will always remain available.

Toucan’s prompts and suggestions are for entertainment and communication. They are not medical, mental-health, sex-therapy, relationship, legal, or emergency advice and do not guarantee any outcome. Use your judgment and consult an appropriate professional when you need advice. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Toucan is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that suggested activities are appropriate for you. You are responsible for your choices, safety, consent, and compliance with law. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Toucan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, or harm arising from partner conduct or real-world activities. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only to the extent the law permits. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Toucan changes. We will post the revised terms here and change the date above. Material changes may require you to review and affirmatively accept the updated Terms before continuing to use Toucan. When affirmative acceptance is not required, continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
